Sunday Evening Mind Dump!

•    Great 4th of July crowd today! Impact is growing! In all my years of ministry, the 4th of July has consistently been the lowest attended day of the year–not at Impact! This week and last were our biggest of the summer!
•    We’re continuing our study through the book of Luke with the series entitled, Rx – God’s Prescriptions for Abundant Living and message titled, “Internal Medicine.” These last few weeks are absolutely crucial to getting the most out of this great gospel because we answer an overlooked question with great accuracy and certainty. I’m talking about, “Who IS Jesus?” Most people probably snicker at this idea—assuming ‘everyone knows the answer to that.’ But they’d be wrong. There are literally thousands of misunderstandings about the person of Christ—some of them, “deal-breakers.” And, “NO,” we can’t just believe like singer Sheryl Crow, who recently said, in a New York Post interview: “I believe in God. I believe in Jesus and Buddha and Mohammed and all those that were enlightened. I wouldn’t say necessarily that I’m a strict Christian. I’m not sure I believe in heaven.” Huh? But before I get to upset at Sheryl, I need to remind myself that she is where many people are today; they believe in everything and nothing at the same time. This is why it is so important to know the REAL Jesus and to make Him known!
•    This coming weekend is an all worship morning for Impact Church! Join us at 10:00 am with the worship team (plus several special guests) as they lead us to the throne of God in worship!
•    One of the things I enjoy most about Impact is the weekly family reunions! Nearly every week I see familiar faces as families reconnect with brothers and sisters they’ve ministered with over the years here in Charlotte! Two more families this 4th of July weekend! Add to this all the brand spanking new families and it just adds to the excitement as the launch team continues to grow and we all work hard for the August 25th Grand Opening of Impact Church! Be praying about where God might have you serve!
