Diary of a Wimpy Christian wraps up THIS weekend @ Southbrook with a very special challenge for non-wimps. Seriously, if you’re happy with meaningless Christianity, name only religion, and powerless living–stay away. This will likely frighten you far too much.
However; if you’re like most believers I meet these days (all over the place) you can tell that something is very wrong with Christianity American Style. I mean, haven’t you ever asked yourself how 85 percent of a country can claim to be Christ followers and yet we lead the world in such wonderful things as pornography addiction, school drop out rates, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, divorce, and just about every other category no one strives to lead in.
I’m not America bashing. I love this country! We still have more freedom, good churches, dynamic leaders, an enormous amount of God’s blessing, etc. There’s plenty to be grateful for. But most feel it slipping away and it seems like the majority of Christians are in a collective coma about all that’s happening around them.
At Southbrook CHurch we teach that things can (and should) be different. But up until now I haven’t really showed you how. This weekend I will.
Be there and bring a friend. Remember, this is the last weekend that your guests will make it possible for a child in need to receive a brand new pair of shoes.
