There are not many things I insist on with pitbull like tenacity, but the vision of Southbrook Church is one of them. It is not up for negotiation, not open to debate, not up for a vote, not on the docket to be judged worthy or not, and not for sale at any price.
Why?
Because it is from God and I find that hard to beat as far as credibility, support or validation are concerned. God is solid, knows how to do things perfectly, understands what is best and does not change with the wind—He is constant.
We (humans—the ‘created beings’), on the other hand, often lack credibility, support or even the slightest validation when we come up with dreams or fancies. We’re often wishy-washy, imperfect, lack understanding and change our minds as often as a clean freak changes underwear. No vision can survive in that kind of environment.
So, when it comes to the vision of Southbrook Church, I own that vision. I cherish it, honor it, respect it and give my all for it.
Why?
Because it is from God.
Oh, and here is another reason…

That one was free.
