Tis the season to party! Our Executive pastor, Paul Allen and his wife, Sandy hosted a ministry leader’s drop in tonight (part 2 is tomorrow night) and they’ve been telling us that the people on their street are sort of having a Griswold type battle to see who can use the most electricity per minute. Two neighbors in particular are vying for first place. Who do you think will win this year? You be the judge.

Seriously, I love throwing a wrench in the works, and for what it’s worth, I was there and house B has the edge in my opinion.
Anyway, I love December! Christmas is my favorite time of the year! We’ve been having a blast both hosting and attending all the different Christmas parties this year. Southbrook church alone has more parties than McDonalds has meals served! But my favorite one each year is our staff Christmas party—a chaotic white elephant gift exchange that never fails to get out of control each year. And every year there is one hilarious gift that everyone fights for. This year it was this:
