Sunday Evening Mind Dump

•    Wow! It’s the middle of the summer—everyone (including me) is looking ahead for people to return from vacation and for our Grand Opening on August 25th. Then, out of the blue—we got a mini grand opening today! Great crowd, incredible enthusiasm, red shirt volunteers everywhere! Can’t wait for the real deal!
•    It was wonderful to walk in extra early today and see TONS of volunteers nearly finished with set up and helping each other get ready for our first Sunday at our first (of hopefully many) campuses! The excitement was everywhere! Usually the summer is a write off for churches—but not for movements! Seriously, the generosity has remained high, the passion may be even higher, the commitment to the vision the Lord has placed on our hearts is unwavering. Yep, looks more like the beginning of a movement than simply another church in a sea of churches. Charlotte, you better brace for Impact!
•    Couple items to keep in mind Impactors:

1.    We are holding off ONE MORE WEEK until we go to two services. Children’s ministry and set up and tear down teams could really use the extra time to get used to our new home. This means that Sunday, August 11th we move o the 2 service format—9:00am and 11:00am! Mark your calendars. It will be here before we know it!
2.    Beginning in two weeks the mandatory volunteer training begins. Even if you have been a part of the launch team from the very beginning, you need to be at this. This will enable us to set the bar high and make sure everyone reaches it! Over 75 of you signed up today! That still leaves about 150 more!
3.    Be thinking and praying about who you will bring with you to our Grand Opening on August 25th! What name(s) did you put in your little glass vile? Remember to not only invite them, but pray for them, and stay with them. If you are working the 9:00am that day, than invite them to the 11:00am and sit with them in service and take them to lunch afterwards—how much is a soul worth? And visa verse—if you are working the 11:00am than take them to breakfast before church and sit with them at the 9:00. The point is—be creative!
4.    Hundreds are praying for this movement of God—not just here in Charlotte, but all over. If you’d like to follow along, jump right in with our, “31 Days of Prayer” to end on August 25th. You can sign up by getting your email to pastorrob@impactchurchlive.com and we will make sure you are on the list!
•    That’s it for now, friends! Today was a great day—Thanks to all the Impact volunteers who helped make it happen! And just think, the best is yet to come!
