I realize now that this will never get old! The people of Impact Church know that what we have is something special and each week God takes our puny expectations and blows them out of the water! Today was no exception. Week eight and we had a full band! They rocked, and more importantly, they lead the rest of us to the throne room of God!
Good Thanksgiving crowd today! When I think about how I used to take this Sunday off every year because it was so low attended, I’m so “thankful” (pun intended) that I didn’t this year! I would have missed a great one and a lot of “firsts!”
Verses that keep coming to mind in relation to what God is doing at Impact… Eph. 3:20-21, “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
I’m PUMPED about the brand new series for Christmas starting THIS COMING WEEKEND! It’s called, “Christmas Reset.” This series will be a modern take on the age old tradition of Advent! Remember, Impactors that we are an outreach church, so INVITE, INVITE, INVITE!
Already getting ready for our Christmas Eve services (4:00 and 6:00pm at Weddington Middle School). And already praying for a great big harvest of souls for Jesus! One of the spiritual gifts the Lord gave me is Evangelism and every year I’ve been a pastor, Christmas and Easter have been off the hook exciting as far as lost people coming to Jesus! I’m sure this year will be no different! Make sure you pray for and invite EVERY lost person you know to this special evening! And remember, every single survey done indicates that nearly 80% of the people invited to a Christmas or Easter service will end up coming! That’s 8 out of every 10 people you ask! So…ASK!
SO COOL to see TONS of Christmas ornaments with the names of lost friends, family, co-workers, fellow students and neighbors go up on the 2 Christmas trees today. We will be adding to them every week. At this rate we will have to add more trees! Again, thrilled about what I believe the Lord is going to do on Christmas Eve at Impact!
