Body Slam!

This weekend I got totally body slammed by God via my wife!
No, I’m not saying Michelle can beat me up (though I wouldn’t mess with her if I were you). I’m saying that some of the most profound stuff that God has ever told me have been through my wife, Michelle. And I’m saying that her often still small voice from her teenie, tiny person actually carries quite a wallup!
How does this have anything to do with the old, ‘Freak of the week, champion of the month stuff?’ Simple really. The last several weekends I have to admit, Saturday night has been my favorite service time. Why? Because of the energy and because of the crowds!
The crowds?
I thought Saturdays were a tougher sale?
Were, but not anymore.
Saturdays are fun, energetic (yet somehow more laid back as well) and none of the pressure to, “round’m up, get’m in, get’m out. RAWHIDE!†we sometimes feel on Sundays. We’ve seen Saturday evenings as big as 450! Yet I was recently complaining about how long it is taking us to get the right permits and cut through all the red tape and so forth in order to get our new worship center going that I failed to realize that the Mighty men, women and youth (MP’s — remember them) have once again stepped up to the plate. We asked you to free up seats for seekers and new believers at
Thank You! You all are the Champions of the week — really of the last 2 years, because it has been a process and my wife reminded me that a simple ‘thank you’ can go along way. And you thought we only had 2 kids!

And?
You’ve told me you have friends and family, neighbors and co-workers who are far from God but that you needed to bring them to the main at
Bring-em!
What?!
You heard me right, ‘bring them!’ They are your ticket into the main. I’ve felt convicted about hammering points like the ‘musical chairs’ deal home but never saying thanks to the hundreds and hundreds of you who have heard the nudging of God’s voice and made the switch. You all mean the world to us. Never doubt that!
And know that your efforts have paid off. Now let’s come full circle and complete this thing. Invite your friends and neighbors at the most optimal times where we have the optimal number of seats. Once again, that’s
