What a week of ministry at Southbrook!
- The third Haiti team left this past week right on the heels of the return of the Peru mission team. This year Southbrook will send out more missionaries for short term missions than ever before and the family of Southbrook is making a ginormous impact for the kingdom! So proud of our teams! So proud of Pastor Geoffrey for his enthusiasm to reach the world!
- Our students returned fired up from DEVOTED—Billy and every last student I spoke too—said it was the best camp they’d ever been too! This group is ready to charge Hell with water pistols if need be!
- This morning I also got to see over 150 volunteers get prayed up and fired up to serve the SOuthbrook family and help guests encounter Christ! Wonder if that will ever get old?..Nah!
- Last night we had another Satellite N.O.W. (Night of Worship). To me it was the best one yet. You could really feel the presence of the Lord and it was awesome to lift high the name of Jesus! If you haven’t been out for one of these, you are truly missing out!
- Something else went with our N.O.W.—Communion. That’s right, we also partook of the Lord’s Supper. This is always a special and somewhat mysterious time as the Holy Spirit works to both convict and renew the hearts of believers.
As awesome as these times are, I know of believers who almost never partake of communion—haven’t for months or even years. Not only do we miss out on the richness and presence of God unlike any other time—we also miss the refreshment that comes to our dried out souls. Each week I deal with so many people who seem to be in a spiritual wasteland—the answer is so close—come be refreshed at the Lord’s table!
