Wow! I am thrilled with what the Lord is doing in marriages @ Southbrook! The series is only in the second week, but hundreds of new people have joined us because they re series about either making a good marriage/relationship better, or getting one back on track that isn’t going so well. That’s awesome! God will honor this decision!
All and all it was another great week and I have to admit–I love what I do! What a privilege and an honor to be your pastor!
- Can’t wait to see what God does through the Southbrook/Chik-Fil-A Date Night next Monday! If you are married, dating, or engaged you can go to one of three participating Chik-Fil_A’s Monday the 15th from 6:00-8:00 pm for a special date night and get your “free” assessment code to take the online test for you and your significant other. - Lots more people came out for week 2 of the “Heartbreak Warfare” series! But the far better news is that we are already hearing about God moving in marriages as people trust His ways and follow the simple truths of His Word! Keep praying! We have 2 more weekends of this! AND…keep inviting! A personal invite is the MOST effective means of getting people to church!
- Make sure you welcome Michelle Jones and Billy Almaguer to the Southbrook team! These are the 2 newest staff members at Southbrook church!
- Pray for me and Michelle. This weekend’s message is by far the hardest but also the most likely to actually see results.
- Can’t believe I volunteered for the Q & A deal on the 21st but what’s done is done! LOL! Here we go. Text “marriage” — then your question to 22333 and we will address them from 6:00 to approximately 8:00 in the main auditorium of the Weddington Campus. You won’t want to miss this, if for nothing else–to see me squirm.
- Don’t forget that one of our former teaching pastors, Clayton King, returns on the weekend of the 20th and the 21st to close out our Heartbreak Warfare series. Let’s turn out in droves to show Him our support and use the opportunity to invite lost friends and neighbors! Clayton always weaves the salvation message in there no matter what he’s preaching on!!
- Hey believer! Today I want you to not think about the gazillion excuses we often give each other for not obeying the great commission and just do it! After all, you have the power of the LIVING GOD behind you! Honestly, how can you fail? So go out there and tell others of the greatness of Jesus and what He’s done for you!
