Sunday Evening Mind Dump

I had last week off—sort of. I say, “Sort of,” because I just don’t seem to know how to relax these days and it’s really beginning to bug me. But, dumping my random thoughts tends to help a bit, so here goes…

  • Did get to spend some time with the family this week and that part I love! Who wouldn’t?
  • Geoffrey preached and I heard he did a great job although I also heard that I was a frequent topic of discussion. Brace yourself, Robby.
  • We went hiking near Banner Elk on the ‘Profile Trail’—-otherwise known (by me) as the trail of doom. Seriously, we always have some sort of injury when we undertake that ‘mother of all trails!’ This time it was my entire body! I feel really old right about now! Check out some of the pics from the day.

It was part of my son’s B-Day, so we took some of his friends. They did great! Put us adults to shame.

Yes, there was still ice up there! Made for some treacherous going. I’m just glad I didn’t have to be air lifted out of there. It’s hard to look cool for your kids when you have to be helivacked off the mountain.

Juliana (my daughter) set the record for youngest climber on the mountain. She’s a fierce competitor!

  • All and all, a great time with family and friends. Can’t wait to do it again…when I heal that is.
