The Hall of “Fame”

Did you know that the Bible has its own version of the “Hall of Fame?”

It’s found in the book of Hebrews, chapter 11, and it’s called the “Hall of Faith.”

Did you ever dream as a kid of being in the “Hall of Fame” of something?

Anything?

  • Baseball
  • Rock and Roll?
  • Football?
  • Star on the Hollywood walk of stars?
  • Olympic gold?
  • Silver?
  • Bronze?

I used to dream of being an Olympic skier—slalom, G.S., downhill. Never happened. And eventually I changed directions (which is another post for another time).

Are you ready to answer the above question now. I stalled long enough for you.

Cat got your tongue? Doesn’t matter.

We have ways of getting to the truth without your cooperation.

Muhahaha!

No, I’m not going to have a group waterboarding session. I have a better method—more accurate too. All I have to do is take a look at the average American family and the time and money they spend on little Johnny and Susie in everything from soccer to dance to football to baseball to blah, blah, blah… And then I take this average amount of time and money and cross reference it with the average of other nations.

Yikes!! Man, I don’t think we’re going to like the results.

And to make matters worse, you’re going to have to wait for them because I have yesterday’s series to continue with before jumping all over this one! Alas, I have a nasty habit of going all ADHD when it comes to blog series. I hope you’ll forgive me. Part 2 of yesterday’s, “Swim Test” (click here to read) will be up later today and part 2 of this one will be up tomorrow.

Confusing, isn’t it?

Not for my readers! You all are “Hall of Famers!”
