And the Beat Goes On!

Yesterday the men of Southbrook gathered for another challenge to step up to the unique leadership role and calling God has for them. I told them it begins with being faithful in the small things;

  • spending time in God’s Word each and every day
  • making prayer a constant way of life (talking to God all day long)
  • being faithful in leading right where you’re at (family, neighborhood, work)
  • and being obedient to God immediately in whatever He asks, whenever He asks

That one must have struck a nerve with a couple of the guys who were at Southbrook this past weekend when we baptized nearly a hundred people. You see, one of them realized that He did not answer the call though God nudged him the entire service.

He asked is it was to late. Could we baptize him that morning.

Well, the two tubs were already drained, but that’s when you have to get creative.

Art TerKeurst stepped forward and offered his pool.

Good thing he did, because two other guys felt the same nudging from the Holy Spirit.

So, add three more to the tally for a total of 96!

And the beat goes on!

Here are some pictures from pool-side profession.
