Merry Christmas everyone! What a great year we’ve had at Southbrook. God continues to move here and I am amazed that He could use a bunch of average, broken men and woman to do His great work.
In this season, I am always reminded of how our savior came, lived, and died.
He came; we expected the Messiah to come as a royal baby, yet our savior was born into poverty.
He lived; we expected a high prince on a white stallion, instead our savior was a servant on a donkey.
He died; we expected a king who would rule the world cloaked in gold, instead OUR king gave up his power, His life and wore a crown of thorns to His death on the cross.
We expected that to be the end, instead it was only the beginning.
As I watch many of you serve every weekend, I am humbled at all the lives God has changed at Southbrook. I just wanted to say thank you. You inspire me. I see the love of God in you.
And thank you pastor Rob for your heart for the lost. No one can ever question your passion to reach those away from God! God is definitely using you.
The great thing is…it’s not quite over J We’re looking forward to another great Christmas Eve. We’ll see you there!
I hope you all enjoy some down-time with family over the holidays. Kick up your feet, you deserve it! Merry Christmas my friends.
May Southbrook continue to be a mighty force for God’s kingdom in 2009.
In Christ,
Dan
