Thank You and…

Can I ask another favor?

First of all, thanks to everyone who made the shift this weekend! The Saturday service was larger and 8:30 am on Sunday was slammed. That’s great news, but isn’t it funny how every time we make the shift people come out of the woodwork like they were hiding there all the time?!

You all made room for new folks to come in. That’s one of the things a church that has “it” does.

And that’s the good news.

Take a look at this and you will see the not so good news

Crowd Cropped

This was taken after the 8:30 crowd was long gone. For once, I did not go long and the people arriving for the 10:00 am service at Southbrook Central had plenty of time to check kids in and get a seat either in the main or in the Video Cafe. And yet…

This was the line to check kids in with only one song left in worship!

It’s great to see God bringing all the new folks, but we have to be good stewards of these people so that they will stay long enough to hear the gospel message. So, once again I am asking all those who can to make a shift. Either to the Saturday evening or to the 11:30 am Cafe on Sunday. In one month we will be in the new worship center that seats three times what we can accomadate in both buildings right now, but we want everyone to make the journey.

Best shift possible right now?

Southbrook Monroe. God is beginning an incredible movement in the city of Monroe and we need more people to be a part of it.

Pray about it, will ya? And leave the rest to God.
