Huge, historical day for us (Drum roll, please…) Grace Community Church is now Summit Church! This has been a long time in the making, but after 8 months of prayer, fasting, vision casting, membership meetings, bringing in consultants from Saddleback and other places, and boatloads of conversations with the wonderful people at this church, the dream of reintroducing ourselves to the community as Summit Church has finally arrived!
So what’s new? Well, almost everything! You can now check us out at summitchurch.co Now, while we understand that the method isn’tsacred and must constantly change to reach people with the love of Christ—we also know that the Message is sacred and must never change. So, while some of our methods, our name, and our look will be changing—God’s Word and following the mandates of the Great Commission and Great Commission have not and as long as I am the pastor, they never will. And this was easy, because GCC has always been faithful to fulfill God’s purposes and mission throughout its 30 plus year history. We want to celebrate and honor that! And we want to build upon it now as Summit Church! It’s our hope and desire at TheSummit to see a movement of God the likes of which Colorado has never known. We dream of seeing thousands come to faith in Jesus and raised up in maturity in their Christian Walk! That may sound radical to some but the early church had a different word for it. They called it, ‘normal.’ Come join us and be a part of the movement!
And finally, to kick of our very first series as, Summit Church we think there’s no better way than to talk about this new day and huge vision with the three week series, I Love My Church! It begins THIS coming weekend!
