  • This past week at Impact we talked about one of the most common, yet most misunderstood aspects of church—WORSHIP. Ask 10 Christ followers and you’re likely to get 10 different responses. So we took our focus down a slightly different path. We talked about how true worshipers connect with God. I call them the ‘deal-breakers of worship.’ To hear the podcast, go here.
  • Here is a recap…

1. True worshipers get to Jesus no matter who or what is standing in the way.

To illustrate this we talked about the woman in Luke 7 who made her way into the home of Simon the Pharisee despite the fact that she was hated by religious leaders and likely endangering herself.

2. True worship must come from a grateful heart.

To illustrate this we talked about the ten lepers in Luke 17—more specifically, the one leper who came back to thank Jesus and then worship Him.Loved the part of the service where we all wrote down on index cards what we were grateful to God for!

3. True worship is full and undivided.

Finally, we talked about the contrast between Mary and her sister Martha in Luke 10. Martha was busy with ministry, but Mary focused on Christ alone.

  • Couple exciting weekends coming up @ Impact Church—this Sunday evening at 5:30 pm at Cuthbertson High School will be the very first (of many) Impact 101 classes. This is your vehicle to diving deeper at Impact. Wanna move from the stands to the playing field? Tired of being a mere fan of Jesus and ready to become a follower? Then you need to be there! * We are not ‘grandfathering in’ launch team members—this class is a prerequisite to membership for everyone at Impact.
  • On Sunday, October 13th Impact will be having its very first baptism! We are FIRED UP about this. Baptisms are a huge celebration and we want you all to invite everyone you know for this special service. If you are wanting to be baptized—go HERE and sign up. See you all there!!
