One of the reasons I discontinued this segment of posts from my blog was not a conscious one—to be blunt, there were just far too many champions around Southbrook to limit it to a once a month or even once a week—forget that—how about even once a day postings?! The love for one another, unity, trust, passion for the vision, caring for those who do not know Jesus and a whole lot more are more obvious and heartfelt than at any time in our history! Then there’s the generosity that’s off the hook (the last two months have seen more people giving back to God through tithing and a greater amount than at any time in Southbrook’s history!), the amount of people volunteering, the nearly doubling of our Lifegroups and the youth lifegroups growing by more than ten times! All of this and a whole lot more point to a church that has moved from simply being a church to becoming an unstoppable force making a ginormous impact on the lives of others all in our quest to lift high the name of Jesus! It truly is a great time to be at Southbrook Church!
But I digress (which I’ve been known to do from time to time). I just had to resurrect the “Champion of the Month’ posts after an experience I had last night with the “Solka Life Group.’ These wonderful Brookies put on a 5 course meal complete with entertainment and personal chefs and waiters that beats any restaurant I’ve ever been to—all to thank and honor the pastors and their spouses! Truly, I was blown away by it all.
Thank you all SOOOOOO much for selflessly reflecting Jesus to us! It’s an honor to be your pastor!
