Sunday Evening Mind Dump

  • We ended our nearly 2 year long journey through the gospel of John today. I love this gospel—to me it is the most personal of the four and most vividly displays Christ’s love and grace toward man. My own love and relationship with Jesus has deepened due to the study of this great book. Sorry to see it end but excited about the next journey we will take as a church through some of the Wisdom literature of God’s Word in our, “Fistful of Wisdom” series beginning July 3rd!
  • What a joy it was to see so many people letting go of the “Unless Ultimatums.” You know what they are? These are all the things we challenge God’s will with—all the things we have the audacity to tell God are ‘deal-breakers’ “unless” He does things our way. Today a lot of people nailed these ultimatums to the cross and left them there for good!
  • Heard from the Haiti mission team today. They are having an incredible, life changing experience in this earthquake ravaged country as they share God’s love and help the Haitians rebuild. We will be taking 3 more trips this year—it’s not too late for you to go!
  • VBS in @ our Monroe campus this week was off the hook! Take a look…

  • Got a killer Charbroil Quantum Infrared Grill for Father’s Day! Even the name is cool! Burgers last night were the best ever! Now it’s time for a lazyboy nap.
