From the Perspective of the Preacher’s Wife

Christmas Break is Over!

January 2nd, 2011

Family time is always refreshing, especially after the busy Christmas season that intensely hits a pastor’s family.  Thank you, Southbrook, for allowing us to take a week to rejuvenate and reconnect as a family.

So what did we do?  We took the last flight out of Charlotte (before the Christmas Snow Storm shut the airport down), landed in Denver and drove to Summit County where we spent the week tearing up the slopes In Breckenridge.  Rob is an amazing skier and Nathan takes right after his dad.  By the end of the week, Nathan was tackling the black diamond trails and conquering moguls.  Juliana and I were not far behind.  God gave us beautiful weather and ski conditions (fresh powder every day) as well as short lift lines!  And He blessed us with an injury-free week which was no small thing for the big feats we attempted in the snow.  Skiing provided the perfect back drop for some much needed family time.  We made terrific memories on the slopes, but its the little things in life that keep a family closely knit together.

What are the “little things” from our ski trip?
