Sunday Evening Mind Dump

So excited about the kick off of “Foretold” this past weekend! The weather was crummy, but people came out anyway and experienced the truth about Christmas. Every year this is a challenge for pastors to cut through all the fluff and unwrap the real beauty of Christmas. For that noble purpose, we have created this entire series and I’d say we are off to a great start. If you missed the first week you can listen online–the video will be up by Tuesday afternoon.

  • My good friend Jimmy DeYoung will be joining me this coming weekend! He is one of the greatest teachers on prophecy alive today and he’s going to make the ancient prophecies come alive! You absolutely do not want to miss this one!
  • Great to see all ministries going strong this past week @ Southbrook!
  • The Closet closed out the year strong. I’ll tell it in their own words… “Fantastic, incredible, wonderful day at The Closet @ Southbrook today! 377 families (1606 people) were given FREE clothing. Most importantly, 2 SALVATIONS!!! God is SO good. Thanks to everyone who make it happen – donors, volunteers, leaders. You are The Closet @ Southbrook!”
  • The middle school and high school had their annual end of the year Christmas party with a hundred kids and plenty of parents serving to make it a great night!
  • Found out people got saved even though we didn’t give a formal invitation! God works anyway!
  • Today I talked about the oldest e-vite in the world–God’s invitation to attend the wedding feast in heaven as a part of His family! Are you planning on attending? If so, how many guests will you be bringing with you?
  • Don’t forget to invite, invite, invite for Christmas Eve @ Southbrook this year. It’s a time when God always moves BIG!
