This coming Sunday evening (November 21st) @ our Southbrook Weddington campus I will be hosting a time where we deal with some of the questions and struggles that married/dating folks have. There is some confusion as to who should come to this, so let me clarify…
Previously, this was for married couples only but I have decided to leave it up to the parents (to a point) and individuals as to whether they would like to attend. This being said, there still needs to be some common sense limits applied as we will be going over sensitive issues.
Parents…if you have dealt with these issues in your family and would like to bring your teenage sons or daughters–feel free. But please keep in mind what I’ve said–questions have come in that will make some topics extremely uncomfortable for some and may not be appropriate for all ages. Therefore, the cut off is 14 and that only with careful prayer and consideration please. Beyond that I will leave it up to your discretion. All teenagers need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian and unlike the motion picture association of America, we will enforce it by requiring you to check the younger ones into the children’s church area (opening for the entire duration of this event) or student ministries (also running for the duration).
Thanks for your understanding and I look forward to our time together Sunday evening!
* Friends, don’t forget that Clayton King is joining us this weekend to close out the Heartbreak Warfare series. He is a very gifted teacher and evangelist–God always moves huge through Clayton. So invite all your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, enemies (Jesus did say to love your enemies!) to Southbrook Weddington or Southbrook Monroe (Our Monroe Campus meets at 11:00 am Sunday only) and expect God to do great things!
