Sunday Evening Mind Dump

It’s late and I wish I’d gotten to this sooner. But I have to share at least some of what happened on this awesome weekend as well as what our great God has in mind for Southbrook!

  • Be praying for us to figure out SOON what we can do in Children’s church as we break record after record and hit capacity each week. We need more space! Good problem to have, but we need to solve it yesterday!
  • Michelle and I wrapped up our part of the “Heartbreak Warfare” series today to huge crowds again. When it comes to marriage and relationships, people are hungry for answers from God’s Word. Looks like Oprah and Dr. Phil are coming up short.
  • I can’t think of a better way to wrap to end a message then with a call to receive Christ. 44 people responded to that call this weekend. What an awesome way to lead into the evangelical weekend of the marriage series wish is actually NEXT weekend with Clayton King. Guess God wanted to call some people to his family earlier then expected! Note to self…”ALWAYS expect God to move!”
  • Tomorrow night is the Date Night @ Chik-Fil-A! If you have not signed up yet–better get to it. You can register HERE. The store at Wesley chapel is into overflow already! The Arboretum is nearly full and there’s room only at the Monroe Chik-Fil-A! As far as going to any one of these three to get your free marriage assessment code–you can opt for the Milkshake Date after 8:00 or simply ask for a code when you order through the drivethru! Take advantage of this and tell all the married/dating folks you know–especially the unchurched! We want to see God do a mighty work in marriages all throughout Charlotte and Union County!
  • Can you believe we are over the halfway point in the 100 Days Challenge? Day 64 to be exact. I am loving this challenge–not just for what it does for my own walk, but for what I’m seeing it do in and around Southbrook Church! Keep it up gang!
  • I will honestly miss preaching with my wife by my side. Michelle definitely keeps me on my toes! Thanks for all your encouragement to her! I think she may even do it again–much sooner this time!
  • That’s all for now. I will try to write more when I’m actually NOT sleep walking!
