Another great weekend @ Southbrook Church!
- We baptized 63 people this Labor Day Weekend and saw what looked to me like the biggest Labor Day weekend we’ve ever had @ Southbrook Weddington and Southbrook Monroe! For all the years I can remember, this has been a low attended weekend. This year it has been one of the best! Guess those patterns don’t mean anything to God!
- Southbrook Monroe was up in attendance for the third week in a row!– On Labor Day Weekend!! Great things are happening in Monroe!
- Third week of our DOWC (Diary of a Wimpy Christian) series this weekend–only one more left. This has been one of my favorite series yet. And I’ve noticed that no matter how hard hitting we are with God’s truth people keep returning in increasing numbers for more. That’s because people don’t need fluff. They need (and crave) truth!
- The single most important weekend of this whole series is THIS coming weekend. Bring a friend and don’t miss!
- Looking forward to spending Labor Day with the Fam! That is, after Nathan and Michelle get back from running the 5k race at the Matthews Alive festival. Man!!
- Asked my son and some of his friends if they wanted to sleep out in the tree house again and have an all night RISK tournament. They loved the idea! I’m glad I still have a little more time left with my son as a boy. He’ll be a full grown man soon enough and it will be just me verses the computer in the tree house then! Think I’ll pass on that.
- Ok, this one is a Monday deal but THIS JUST IN, Michelle got a third place medal in her age group @ the Matthews Alive Labor Day 5k race and my son, Nathan got a third place medal as well (in his age group). We are a house of runners.You can read about it here!
