It was another great week at Southbrook as new folks continue to pour through the doors!
- Today we had the biggest Newcomer’s Lunch ever! Seriously, there were twice as many as we’ve ever had. That’s the good news.
- Not so good that we ran out of food right after talking about how Jesus fed the 5,000 with one sack lunch! LOL!
- It truly was great to have to make another run for food (b/c the second run included fried chicken! Whooo Hooo!) and to scramble for more tables and chairs. But, as they say, ‘a picture is worth a thousand words.’ So, take a look…
- Midweek is continuing to grow as well and I love it because we aren’t tip towing through the tough subjects. We are hitting some very sensitive stuff that the local church in America needs to hear…NOW!
- We are seeing it proved out that hard teaching softens hearts and soft teaching hardens hearts. Come see what I’m talking about this Wednesday at 6:30 pm @ Southbrook Weddington!
- Heard today that over 250 families were served at Southbrook Monroe’s “The Closet!” How cool is that?! In less than 6 months The Closet has become the biggest distributer of clothing in the city of Monroe! Prasie God and the best is yet to come!
- Special thanks to the Lamkins for all they do! And ditto for all the volunteers who made it happen! You all are the best!!
- Saw hundreds come forward at the weekend services and nail whatever it was in thier life they thought could keep them from Jesus—to the cross—and leave it there!
- Add to this the recent fire lit in the hearts of the men of Southbrook and you have a flat out, off the hook, movement of the Spirit of God making a huge IMPACT!
- And one tired pastor…I’m going to bed and I’ll sleep well tonight.
- Brookies? You all rock! Pumped I get to pastor the greatest church—period! Great because we worship God alone, put others first and store up treasures in heaven!
