This month so many good things happen it’s hard to narrow things down. But, I need to laser focus my ADD self regardless so here goes…
The ‘special element’ we pulled off yesterday to illustrate that things go viral from just one person was awesome. It only takes one! But pulling the thing off was anything but easy. It took many champions! First and foremost among them had to be Raina Newman! As I said earlier, her stock went up tenfold in my book!
Also, a special thanks to everyone who kept rehearsing and inviting others to be a part of the flash mob, “I Gotta Feeling” dance! At times it was like pulling teeth to get people in the thing but every one of them thought it was worth it when they saw the energy and especially the results (100 percent of the dancers from one of the studios received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!)—all those hands raised! It’s gonna be an off the hook baptism in a couple weeks!
Thanks to 2 new champions Ryan and Traci—who sang and rapped our version of “I Gotta Feeling” from the Black Eyed Peas! I laughed (in a good way) many times at how we recaptured that song for Christ. The lyrics we used might be stolen by Chris Tomlin if we’re not careful! Thanks to Melissa Dudley for crafting her way through that potential land mine! My favorite alteration?
Black Eyed Peas: “I got my money. Let’s spend it up!”
Southbrook Version: “I got my money. Let’s tithe it up!”
