Your Turn Ladies!

1996_Women_s_Soccer_Team_webOk, I admit it. I often shamelessly call out the men on this blog. OFTEN. What can I say? The Bible is clear, men are to lead their families spiritually and it just ain’t happening in 99.999999 percent of places.

Well, Southbrook isn’t going to be one of those places! I’m giving you today off, however, I’ll be kicking you all in the rear next week!  Wait for it!

Today it’s your turn ladies. This is your chance to step up to the plate and position yourselves to do great things for Jesus. The only remaining question is…

ARE YOU READY?!

To begin, come this weekend as our own, Lysa TerKeurst (Well-known author, conference leader, Southbrook Church member, and, perhaps most importantly, wife of my best friend, Art) presents a very inspiring challenge to the body of Christ to go to the next level!

And MEN? Please don’t think we’re trying to get you reacquainted with your feminine side (personally, I’ve never even met that side of me and don’t want to)—this isn’t about that at all. So come on and be man enough to accept Lysa’s challenging message as well. But NO, in answer to your next question—you can’t come to the women’s conference on August 28th and 29th.

Good, now that we cleared that up, back to the ladies. Here’s your second move…

Come to THIS…

More-SunflowerAugust 28-29, 2009

Speaker | Lysa Terkeurst
Well-known author, conference leader, and Southbrook Church member

Like many women, Lysa TerKeurst knows what it’s like to consider God just another thing on her to-do list. For years she went through the motions of a Christian life: Go to church. Pray. Be nice. Yet she wanted a deeper connection between what she knew in her head and what she felt in her heart. She wanted to personally experience God’s presence.
Drawing from her own remarkable story of step-by-step faith, TerKeurst invites women to uncover the spiritually exciting life they long for. With her trademark wit and spiritual wisdom, TerKeurst helps women enjoy the passion of conversation with God, discover the life-changing words of the Bible, watch God use disappointments for good, and find incredible joy as they live their faith out every day.

Are you satisfied just ‘going through life?’ Do you want to feel like no more than a number on this planet of almost 7 billion people? Or do you want MORE?

That’s what I thought.

Then don’t miss these two events…

and then come crying to me.
