Weekend Update

Due to the crowds that have been coming of late—members and regular attenders need to shift over to one of the less slammed services. Relief will be here (at least for a little while) in exactly one month as the doors to the larger worship building open up. For now, however, the crowds are turning some first time guests away. I received several e-mails this past week about the crowds and the frustration getting checked in and so forth. The reason is that we are not only experiencing the September back to school surge, but also another wave right with it in anticipation of the new building.

Despite surges and buildings, I believe God sends each and every person our way. No one is ever at Southbrook by accident. So lets all be good stewards of the people we are honored to minister to and make their first visits warm and inviting. So, again, here are the specifics so you can make a decision:

The Following Services Have (some) Room

  • the Saturday Evening 6:30
  • the Sunday 11:30 am Video Cafe
  • the Monroe Campus (Sundays at 10:00 am)

The Following Services Are Usually Full

  • the 10 am Sunday Service in the Main
  • the 10 am Sunday Service in the Video Cafe
  • the 11:30  am Sunday Service in the Main

Other News: Once again, Southbrook’s praise and worship is being featured on 91.9! We keep inching our way toward the final (although each time we win there seems to be another “final” we have to go through  ). Here is what we need now…

Congratulations, Sara & Dan! The song “Pour” that you submitted for New Life 91.9’s “My Church Band Rocks” contest has made it to the finals! Through September the winners of the first 12 weeks of My Church Band Rocks are being voted on to be the opening act for the upcoming Big Daddy Weave/Rush of Fools concert.

So….we are contacting you before Sunday, so you can let your church family know to GO ONLINE and VOTE! Also, forward this email to family, friends, neighbors, co-workers….any one that can help you get your song aired on New Life 91.9! All they need to do is go online to newlife919.com and vote (please note that voting begins Friday, September 12th by midnight)!

Here are some more details of how it works:
