Mother’s Day

This was a very special Mother’s Day in that we had a celebrity in the house. Well, a celebrity in the Singleton household anyway.

My wife, Michelle knocked it out of the park as she challenged the women of Southbrook to “Rethink Motherhood.” And she set the stage for our upcoming series, “Tough Choices—Great Rewards!” Actually, we have a lot of great things planned at Southbrook Church. You see, we always go to God months in advance and seek what he would have us talk about that hits home most for the Southbrook family and beyond.

In fact, why don’t I give you an advance peek at some if the upcoming series so that you can be praying with us that God will move in a ginormous way to transform thousands of lives!

Beginning next weekend and running for 3 weeks, “Tough Choices—Great Rewards.”

Running from June 7/8 through the first part of July, “One Prayer” a series where we will hear from some of the best preachers from all over the country as they talk about what “one thing” they would most like to see God do in their church. Southbrook will be participating in this as well with the video message, “Make us Engage! (a message about God’s call to every believer to be involved in Kingdom service—not just the few). Please be praying for this series and the almost 1,000 churches and 3/4 of a million people who will be joining in on this unique experience.

After this we will begin a series called “Heroes” (different characters from the Bible will be highlighted each week). And finally (and the one I am most excited about), “Vintage Jesus,” a good hard look at who Jesus really is and how we can know the real Jesus in a climate where so many false things are taught about the Son of God).
