Remember this? Champions of the week? Thought I’d blow the dust off this category and let you all know of some extremely servant-hearted folks gearing up to take the city of Monroe by storm!
Each Saturday people from Southbrook Church head on down to the site of our Monroe Campus to help speed up the process of upfitting this exciting new worship venue.
Some of you may not realize that this is not simply another church doing a “multi-site†but rather a full blown missional outreach to the people of Monroe and the surrounding areas. Besides another offering of the Southbrook worship experience, we will be working with the Monroe Crisis Pregnancy Center, Habitat for Humanity, the families in areas particularly struggling with the ramifications of extreme poverty and a whole lot more! If you want to put the walk to your talk, Monroe will give you unlimited opportunities to serve.
And, for those who have not heard, Southbrook Monroe has already started! They currently meet in the video cafe at the 8:30 AM hour on Sundays. Everything is “as it will be†for Monroe other then, well, “being in Monroe.â€
But even that is just around the corner.
So, if you are part of the over 100 people who signed up to take the city of Monroe for Christ, the time is now!

Tomorrow I will announce the winner of the “blind/nightmare date†contest. Once again it was tough to pick a winner. There’s a lot of psychotic people out there!
