I don’t know what close encounters of the 1st and 2nd kind are and the movie made no sense to me, so I’m inventing my own category for what I witnessed tonight.
But, since, as they say, ‘a picture is worth a thousand words,’ take a look for yourself:

Hundreds and hundreds of kids!
Nearly a hundred volunteers…
And a whole host of parents looking like deer in the headlights as their little children entered the incredible “Planet Earth Zone.”
Hats off to M&M (Mary and Marty) our children’s ministry leaders and all of their sold out volunteers who put this thing together.
It’s flat out awesome!
And a wonderful lead in to our big back to school family series in late August called, “Planet Earth.” — the story of the family from beginning to end.
