What’s our signal to noise ratio?

You all have been awesome to let me know how you first heard about Southbrook church. I thought I’d give you (as I promised) the results.

So, without further adieu, the breakdown:

Out of the 49 responses (yes, 49. Don’t get me started on that. You’d think we were asking people to give their blood…all of it!) here are the ways SCC is drawing them in.

5th most popular method – the blog (hey, it’s still new. Give me a break)

4th most popular method – the website

3rd most popular method – new to area – church shopping

2nd most popular method – the sign out front (drove by)

and the number one way that people find out about Southbrook Church is…

drum roll, please… dadalutdadalutdadalut…

YOU!

Personal invites absolutely blew away every other way of getting people to SCC!

So keep it up Brookies. The best bet for getting your friends, neighbors, co-workers and family to SCC where they will hear the gospel message in a relevant and grace filled way is still YOU!

That’s why you rock!

Oh, and by the way. Our‘signal to noise’ ratio is off the charts!

What is it?

Signal-to-Noise ratio compares the level of a desired signal (such as music) to the level of background noise. The higher the ratio, the less obtrusive the background noise is.

Spiritually speaking. our ‘desired signal’ is the good news of Jesus Christ and the background noise can be anything from old stale traditions and christianeeze, to an inward focussed church who doesn’t care about the people ‘out there.’ Actually, anything that interferes with the purity of the message hitting home (hearts) is ‘background noise.’ The less ‘background noise’ the better.

We have less ‘background noise’ interfering with the truth about Christ than any church I know of!

Keep it up gang!

You’re the best!
