I’m such a slacker when it comes to this. I should call it, Champion of Every Other Week. And at the rate people are coming to SCC these days and understanding their real mission for Christ, it should also be more of a group thing like, Champion(s) of the Week.
In fact, that’s what it is again this week. After our Saturday evening service I had to stay a little longer than usual. I thought I was the only one there but low and behold, Donovon was still in the parking lot roping off the guest parking and making sure every last detail was ready for the next day when 2,000 more people would cram into our tiny parking lot. But that wasn’t all. When I got to my car he was holding the rope in his hand and just sort of waiting and smiling. After I backed out and said good bye, drove off and started jamming my tunes on the radio it finally dawned on me what he was doing. He was waiting for me.

And if it isn’t Donovon, it’s Jay, or Joe or any number of other servant hearted folks who give themselves away so that others will have the best experience possible at SCC.
Thanks greeters! You guessed it…YOU ALL ROCK!
