You all put the, ‘MIGHT’ in Mighty!

Once again the faithful people of Southbrook surpassed all expectations this weekend. And your timing could not have been better.

On Wednesday evening the first meeting of SCC’s Mighty men, women and youth took place. Nearly 300 showed up (and almost 50 let us know they could not make it but to still count on them as part of the team!). I set the challenge before them, that even spiritual giants start small. God wants us to first be faithful in the little things before moving on to bigger and better things for His kingdom. I challenged them to make sure they are in a small group, growing through the teaching of Wednesday evening services, tithing their first fruits, and attending the less desirable services and times so that the unchurched and dechurched can have a better experience at SCC.

Friends? YOU STEPPED UP! This past week there were 2200 people at Southbrook church and this just would not have worked had you all not moved to the Saturday evening service and the 11:30 video Cafe service (both of which were at or near record attendance!). By putting others before yourselves, you made it possible for at least 100 extra people to really connect this week!

In addition to this, the tithes and offerings at SCC match the attendance. More people are giving and joining in the support of God’s purposes and mission through this local church. This is looking like more than an emotional ‘fluke,’ too. It’s gone on this way for 5 weeks and appears as though many, many of you are taking God up on His challenge from Malachi 3:10 (Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it).

Thank you Mighty ones! There is a powerful movement of God underway right now at SCC and you’re a big part of it!
